Good news: Apple released a ton of software updates today and yesterday. Affected products are iLife, iWork, Macintosh firmware, the iPod Touch, and the iPhone. iWork got a performance boost, and iLife received a compatibility and performance update. Among the iLife applications is the previously discussed iMovie.
Bad news: iMovie’s major criticism was not addressed. iMovie still lacks a timeline, a feature necessary for any real editing. This puts to rest the speculation that Apple would add the timeline back into iMovie with a software update. Shame on you, Apple.
Other news: Apple plans to release their next version of Mac OS X next month, Leopard. I’m an operating system enthusiast, so I’m very happy that the testing for Leopard is almost complete. You can expect a full review on Exposay in the future.
