If I didn’t tell you personally, my SAT scores increased somewhat. Suddenly, the entire face of the admissions game has changed for me. One would think higher scores would make the process easier. Not true, it’s much harder now.
My problem before has been not knowing what I want. Now, I have a better idea (small-medium campus, strong academics, engineering with solid liberal arts), but the higher score equates to higher stress.
It’s going to be a fun ride, folks. I’ll keep you posted.
Your documentation of your personal admissions process will undoubtedly become a valuable reference to underclassmen in highschool.
Congrats! At least you can stress (a little) less about your chances of getting into reach schools. I sure wish I was facing the problem of an SAT score which was too high…

It just came as a shock to me. A big shock. I didn’t study all that much. I just kept doing what I did always - look up words I didn’t know, and listen to a lot of podcasts.
It’s tough to be really late in the game and then realize that it’s a new game. Sigh.
But yeah, in the grand scheme of things, it’s a good problem.

Wow, I suppose things did get a little more difficult recently, but certainly difficult in a good way. You’re in a bit of a different ball park now, and may very well have no problem at all getting into any variety of schools, not to mention the innumerable financial breaks at hand! Good luck on your quest to find the college that’s right for you!!
