The release date for the next major version of Apple’s Operating System, Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, is October 26. Two Fridays from now, users will be able to purchase a copy of the next big cat and upgrade their systems. I’m quite excited, but won’t be upgrading immediately. I can’t afford to upgrade until I’m sure that Leopard is fully compatible with the software and hardware I use for Disk Jockeying. However, I’ll be upgrading my sister’s computer almost immediately, and plan to have a full review sometime soon after.
It’s hard to read over the list of 300 new features and realize that I have to wait. Bah.
Pepcoming, my personal portmanteau for the week of Dover High School’s Pep Rally and Homecoming, is finally over. It has been a huge drain on me over the last week, since I put a ton of work into it, and I’m glad to be able to get back to my life. But, I have a few things to share. Continue reading ‘Pepcoming’
I’m so excited! The official trailer for the The Golden Compass movie has been released on Yahoo! Movies. Although the last minute or so was highly exhilarating, I’m disappointed that they don’t refer to the namesake instrument as an Alethiometer; rather, throughout the entire trailer, it’s called the Golden Compass. Watch it.
I’m still looking for friends to come see it with me. If you’re interested, let me know.
This week, Thursday, the Dover High School will be featuring John Halligan, a speaker with a cause. His cause (whether it is legitimate or not is your decision) is cyber bullying. He’s visited Dover before, but this time his presentation will be filmed. In order for seating to go correctly, those who wish to sit in an area visible to cameras must sign a release form. However, there’s a critical typo on the release form.
The last time Mr. Halligan visited Dover, I wrote a school newspaper article on his visit. That paper was never published.
