The Storm Without Calmness

The weather forecast for my town:

Periods of snow, mainly after 10am… Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 5 to 9 inches possible.

That’s a lot of snow that I’m not looking forward to shoveling. The problem with a snow day of that magnitude is that it isn’t a day off… it’s a day of work. In my case, I’ll be doing more work on Friday at my house than I would have at school.

A day off would be nice to do some admissions work. I’m finishing up my final essays for my Tufts supplement. Once that process is over, I’ll submit my Common Application. I know it’s down to the last minute, but life has a way of getting in one’s way every once in a while.

Looks like I won’t be Disc Jockeying on Friday night.

Ugh. I’ve yet to finish my Autobiography or start ANY free-response questions. I envy your skillz. I’m metaphorically praying for a snow day or early dismissal.

I believe you spell “skills” with an s, not a z. you’re not ghetto. just conceited. any no one cares.

Just checked. Yeah, it’s an ’s’.

Jaime, here’s a thought. By calling ME conceited, you are insulting me. Argumentum ad hominem is used mainly to make oneself feel superior to the opponent.

Did you ever consider that possibly I’m human? Humans make mistakes. “S” and “Z” are not that far away on an English QWERTY keyboard. Check.

Who’s conceited now? (And do not say “Still you.” That would be incredibly juvenile and, again, ad hominem.)

okay. let’s try this. you clearly are not a very successful speller. my name is J-A-M-I-E there buddy. second of all, your use of large words is so that you, dear, feel superior. and call me conceited if you will, the truth is, i just don’t like you.
