It took me a while to decide whether or not to write this post. I thought about it, and I started this blog to document my college admissions process, from beginning to end, in its entirety - good or bad - so, here goes.
I’ve been put on MIT’s waiting list. Not accepted, not denied; I’m on the waiting list.
I’ll be writing a more detailed post this weekend.

Too bad. Unless some huge mass of people decide to turn down one of America’s top schools, you’re denied. I was denied also, it happens to about 12/13 of applicants.
Well, I suppose we ought not pass any judgment on this now - you’ve been waitlisted, that’s all. Like you said, you’ve neither been accepted nor denied. What else did MIT tell you? Sometimes they want you to re-apply and whatnot. Are they planning on making a final decision any time soon?
