Apple released Leopard update 10.5.3 earlier this week. Interestingly, Finder.app reports that it is version 10.5.4, which has yet to be released. Very interesting.
Does a Finder version come out always and only if OS X updates? Maybe there was a 10.5.3 somewhere in the middle that was not released via Software Update.
Alternatively, the 3 and 4 keys are awful close together…
Nope. New versions of Finder sometimes come with new OS X versions, but they’ve never before been *ahead* in version number of the current OS X release. Sure, they’ve been behind; the last version of Finder for Mac OS X Tiger (which ended at 10.4.11) is Finder version 10.4.7. This likely means nothing, but it’s cool nonetheless.
