Also check out J.P. Licks in Davis Square (near Tufts). Tasty ice cream. I just finished a small oreo cake batter + cookie dough ice cream in a chocolate-sprinkle-dipped waffle cone. Yum! And for dorm room supplies, hardware stuff, bookshelves, etc., TAGS Hardware in Porter Square has the best selection of stuff I've ever found. I shop there every September because they do such a great job stocking great organizing products. (I also live a block away, which makes it easy.)
